Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account details (name, email address), your application answers, your interview recording and edited video, your consent and approval records, friendship requests you send or receive, and support correspondence.

What is shown publicly

Only approved public-profile information: your first name, the general location you chose to display, your age range, selected interests, the general kind of friendship you hope to find, your Friend Code and your approved video link.

Your last name, email address, telephone number, ZIP code, private preparation notes and private compatibility preferences are never displayed. Your approved public profile may display who you generally welcome friendship requests from. This is an informational preference and does not automatically prevent another eligible participant from expressing interest. You decide privately whether to allow contact.

Consent records

For every agreement or approval we store your account identifier, the exact consent wording or legal-document version, the date and time, the action taken, the applicable video and profile versions, a payment or appointment identifier where relevant, and the administrator action and date for publication or removal.

Raw interview footage

Raw interview footage is never published or supplied to other participants. Bestiemony may retain raw footage for up to 60 days after final publication to resolve technical issues. It will then be securely deleted unless longer preservation is reasonably required for a dispute, safety report or legal requirement.

Contact information is never exchanged automatically

When someone selects “I'd Like to Contact Them,” they first confirm that their approved connection email may be shared if you also say yes. You are then notified privately and choose “Yes, They May Contact Me” or “No, Not at This Time.” If you decline, nothing is shared. Only when both participants say yes do you each receive an introduction email containing the other person's approved connection email. Telephone numbers, street addresses and anything beyond that email are never shared automatically.

Recording consent

• • Affirmative written recording consent is obtained from every person being recorded before the interview begins.
• • We explain that audio and video will be recorded, edited, stored and potentially published.
• • We identify anticipated publication on the public app and the Bestiemony YouTube channel.
• • The exact consent wording and version, the participant, and the date and time are stored.
• • The interviewer asks for verbal confirmation on the recording before the interview continues.
• • If anyone does not clearly agree, recording stops.
• • Recording consent is kept separate from final publication approval.

We follow a nationwide recording and privacy baseline, including written and verbal recording consent from everyone recorded. We do not claim that this service is legally certified or compliant in all 50 states.

Referral tracking

A referral link such as expandyourfriendcircle.com/?ref=EFC-1001 stores the Friend Code in your browser for 30 days so it can be carried into your application and checkout. A valid Friend Code entered directly at checkout always takes priority over an earlier referral-link value.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Service providers

We use third parties to run the service, including hosting and database providers, a secure third-party video-recording service, YouTube for published video, a payment processor for checkout, and email and SMS delivery services. They receive only what is needed to perform their function.

Your choices

You can set your listing to Active, Taking a Break or Hidden at any time, edit your profile before publication, unsubscribe from marketing email, and request access, correction or deletion of your information by emailing hello@expandyourfriendcircle.com.

Removal requests

A participant may withdraw future publication permission by contacting hello@expandyourfriendcircle.com. After verifying the request, Bestiemony will remove the approved profile and video from the Friend Circle Directory, Bestiemony-controlled video-hosting accounts and Bestiemony-controlled social-media accounts within 10 business days.

Removal cannot guarantee deletion of copies previously shared, downloaded, cached or independently reposted by other people.
