Putting your face on the internet is a real decision. Here's exactly what we show, what we never show, and how we handle every request.
What the public can see
Your first name, the location you choose to display, your age range, life stage, interests, activities, availability, the kind of friendship you're hoping to find, and your approved video.
What is never displayed
Your last name, email address, telephone number, ZIP code or any other private contact information. Ever.
You choose how your location appears
Show your city and state, your nearest metro area, or your state only. Private location details such as your ZIP code are never shown.
No automatic contact exchange
The platform never exchanges contact information automatically. When appropriate, and with both people's permission, the Bestiemony team may introduce you by email.
You decide whether to allow contact
Your profile shows who you generally welcome friendship requests from. This is a preference for others to consider, but you always decide for yourself whether you would like to allow contact.
Friendship only
This is not a dating, romantic or hookup platform. Romantic advances, sexual messages, dating requests, harassment and other unsolicited interactions are prohibited and may result in immediate removal.
Your raw recording stays private
Raw interview footage is never published or supplied to other participants. Bestiemony may retain raw footage for up to 60 days after final publication to resolve technical issues. It will then be securely deleted unless longer preservation is reasonably required for a dispute, safety report or legal requirement.
You control your visibility
Set your profile to Active (visible and accepting eligible friendship requests), Taking a Break (visible but not accepting friendship requests) or Hidden (removed from directory results).
Removal requests
A participant may withdraw future publication permission by contacting hello@expandyourfriendcircle.com. After verifying the request, Bestiemony will remove the approved profile and video from the Friend Circle Directory, Bestiemony-controlled video-hosting accounts and Bestiemony-controlled social-media accounts within 10 business days. Removal cannot guarantee deletion of copies previously shared, downloaded, cached or independently reposted by other people.
No background checks
Bestiemony does not conduct criminal background checks and cannot guarantee another participant's identity, intentions, conduct, compatibility or safety. A guided video interview, approved profile or facilitated introduction is not a safety certification or guarantee. Participants must use their own judgment when communicating or meeting.
Reporting
Every profile and request can be reported. We review reports promptly and may suspend or remove a participant for conduct that violates these standards.
