Putting your face on the internet is a real decision. Here's exactly what we show, what we never show, and how we handle every request.
What the public can see
Your first name, the location you choose to display, your age range, life stage, interests, activities, availability, the kind of friendship you're hoping to find, and your approved video.
What is never displayed publicly
Your full legal name, email address, telephone number and other private contact information are never displayed publicly. Your email address is shared privately with another eligible participant only when both of you independently agree to the introduction. Your telephone number is never shared with another participant.
You choose how your location appears
You give only a metro/general area, and that is the only location shown publicly. We do not collect a street address, exact location or postal code.
Contact information is shared only after two yeses
Contact information is never shared because one person asks. When two eligible participants independently say yes, each person receives an introduction email containing the email address the other person approved for introductions. If no separate connection email was provided, the participant's account contact email may be used. If either person says no, no contact information is shared.
You decide whether to allow contact
Your profile shows who you generally welcome friendship requests from. That preference helps others understand who you are open to hearing from, but you still decide individually whether you would like to connect with each person who sends a request.
Friendship only
This is not a dating, romantic or hookup platform. Romantic advances, sexual messages, dating requests, harassment and other unsolicited interactions are prohibited and may result in immediate removal.
Your raw recording stays private
Raw interview footage is never published or supplied to other participants. Bestiemony does not guarantee ongoing storage of raw footage after publication and may delete it at any time, unless preservation is reasonably required for a dispute, safety report or legal requirement.
You control your visibility
Active — your profile is visible and accepting eligible friendship requests. Taking a Break — your profile stays visible, you do not receive new friendship requests, and you may still send requests yourself. Hidden — your profile is removed from directory results. Removed — your profile is no longer published or available in the directory.
Removal requests
A participant may withdraw future publication permission by contacting hello@expandyourfriendcircle.com. If you request removal, we will remove your profile from the directory and make your video unavailable through Bestiemony-controlled accounts and links within 10 business days. We cannot control or retrieve copies previously shared, downloaded, cached, independently reposted, screen-recorded, copied or otherwise saved outside Bestiemony-controlled systems.
No background checks
Bestiemony does not conduct criminal background checks and cannot guarantee another participant's identity, intentions, conduct, compatibility or safety. A guided video interview, approved profile or facilitated introduction is not a safety certification or guarantee. Participants must use their own judgment when communicating or meeting.
Meeting someone for the first time
If you decide to meet someone in person, use ordinary personal-safety precautions:
- • Meet in a populated public place.
- • Arrange your own transportation.
- • Tell someone you trust where you are going.
- • Do not send money.
- • Keep financial and sensitive personal information private.
- • Leave and contact emergency services if you feel unsafe.
Reporting
You can report a participant, profile or friendship request that raises a concern. We review safety and conduct reports promptly and may investigate, suspend or remove a participant when appropriate under our Community and Safety Standards.
