What is a Friend Code?

A Friend Code is your unique participant identifier, such as EFC-1001. It connects your video, your social clips and your directory listing, and other people can search for you by it.

Can I join if I already have friends?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You do not have to be lonely or without friends to join. You may be new to an area, entering a different season of life, looking for people who share a particular interest, or simply ready to expand an already meaningful circle.

Can friends or besties join together?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Friends and besties are welcome to join too. Each person creates their own introduction and can meet additional people who may become part of a wider circle.

What are my chances of making a friend?

Accepted Answer

There is no way to guarantee that any particular introduction will become a friendship. The goal is to give you a better way to see and hear real people before deciding who you may want to meet. Friendship, compatibility, views, requests and introductions are never guaranteed.

How long is the interview?

Your guided interview lasts approximately 10–15 minutes.

How long is the finished video?

Accepted Answer

Your professionally edited Friend Circle Introduction Video is approximately 3–8 minutes. The final length depends on your answers and how the conversation goes. You also receive two short social-media clips, each less than one minute. Every conversation is different, so the finished length may vary. We keep the moments that best show your personality, warmth and friendship style.

Why is the finished video shorter than the interview?

Shorter videos generally hold attention better. Our goal is to preserve the moments that reveal your personality, warmth and friendship style without asking viewers to watch the entire interview.

Will I see the interview questions beforehand?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You receive all of your interview prompts inside your application before you schedule, so you have time to think about what you would like to say.

What happens if I feel awkward on camera?

Accepted Answer

You do not have to perform or speak alone to a camera. A real person guides the conversation, and you can pause or restart an answer whenever needed.

Can I approve my video before it is published?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Nothing is published until you approve the specific final video and public-profile version and authorize publication.

What happens to my original interview recording after publication?

Accepted Answer

After your approved Friend Circle Introduction Video is published, YouTube becomes the official published version. Bestiemony does not guarantee ongoing storage of your original interview recording or other production files. Once those files are deleted, additional editing may no longer be possible. We may still be able to update YouTube details or remove the published video.

Who can see my complete profile and video?

Anyone may browse previews. Your complete approved profile and video are available to signed-in participants who have their own approved and published Friend Circle Introduction Video.

Can someone without an approved video contact me?

Accepted Answer

No. To send you a friendship request, someone must have their own approved and published Friend Circle Introduction Video. Anyone asking to meet you has completed and paid for the same guided video process.

Question 16

How does “I'd Like to Contact Them” work?

Accepted Answer

You watch someone's approved video and select “I'd Like to Contact Them,” confirming that if they also say yes, the email address you have approved for introductions may be shared with them. They privately review your approved profile and video and choose “Yes, They May Contact Me” or “No, Not at This Time.” Two approved videos. Two yeses. One new conversation.

When is my email address shared?

Only after two eligible participants independently say yes is the email address each participant has approved for introductions shared. If no separate connection email has been provided, the account contact email may be used. If either person declines, nothing is shared.

Is my phone number ever shared?

Accepted Answer

No. Your telephone number is never shared with another participant. After both participants say yes, only the email address each participant has approved for introductions is exchanged.

Question 19

Does Bestiemony choose who I connect with?

Accepted Answer

No. You decide who you would like to contact, and the other person decides whether they would like to connect with you. Bestiemony facilitates the introduction when both people say yes, but does not select, endorse or guarantee compatibility. We may still review reports, investigate suspected misconduct and enforce community standards.

Question 20

Can I take a break or hide my profile?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Active means your profile is visible and accepting eligible friendship requests. Taking a Break keeps your profile visible but stops new incoming requests. Hidden removes your profile from directory results. Removed means your profile is no longer published in the directory. Your account and application remain in place.

Question 21

What happens to my YouTube links if I take a break, hide my profile or leave?

Your approved videos are hosted on YouTube, and the video links you receive and share point directly to those YouTube videos. YouTube is the official published home of approved videos. If you choose Taking a Break or Hidden, or otherwise leave active publication, Bestiemony may change the related YouTube videos to Private. While a YouTube video is Private, previously shared YouTube links will no longer allow the video to be viewed publicly. If the same video is later returned to Public, the same YouTube link may become viewable again. Bestiemony can control the visibility of videos hosted on its own YouTube account, but cannot control, retrieve or remove copies previously shared, downloaded, cached, independently reposted, screen-recorded, copied or otherwise saved by other people while the video was available.

Can I have my profile and video removed?

Yes. Email hello@expandyourfriendcircle.com to request removal. We will remove your profile from the directory and make your video unavailable through Bestiemony-controlled accounts and links within 10 business days. We cannot control or retrieve copies previously shared, downloaded, cached, independently reposted, screen-recorded, copied or otherwise saved outside Bestiemony-controlled systems. Raw interview footage is never published or supplied to other participants. Bestiemony does not guarantee ongoing storage of raw footage after publication and may delete it at any time, unless preservation is reasonably required for a dispute, safety report or legal requirement.

Does Bestiemony conduct background checks?

Bestiemony does not conduct criminal background checks and cannot guarantee another participant's identity, intentions, conduct, compatibility or safety. A guided video interview, approved profile or facilitated introduction is not a safety certification or guarantee. Participants must use their own judgment when communicating or meeting.

Question 24

What should I do before meeting someone?

Meet in a populated public place, arrange your own transportation, tell someone you trust where you are going, do not send money, keep financial and sensitive information private, and leave and contact emergency services if you feel unsafe.

How do I report inappropriate behavior?

What does the one-time fee cover?

A real human interviewer, guided preparation, recording, professional editing, one reasonable round of adjustments, your review and approval, publication in the Friend Circle Directory, approved YouTube links for your published video and two short social clips, and your Friend Code.

Why is there a fee?

Your payment covers a real, guided video-production service, not simply access to another friendship app. A member of our team speaks with you and guides the interview, so you are not left trying to perform alone in front of a camera. Requiring every participant to complete the same paid process also creates a more intentional community. It cannot guarantee anyone's intentions or personal safety, but it helps discourage casual browsing, empty profiles and people who are not serious about making genuine friends.

Are refunds available?

Please be certain before purchasing. All purchases are final and nonrefundable because this personalized service reserves interview, production and administrative capacity specifically for you. Changing one’s mind, cancelling, rescheduling, missing an appointment, failing to schedule or deciding not to complete the video process does not create a refund. A refund may be provided only when your application is reviewed and not accepted, Expand Your Friend Circle cannot provide the purchased service and cannot offer an acceptable replacement, a verified duplicate or unauthorized charge occurred, or a refund is required by applicable law. Nothing in this policy removes any non-waivable consumer right you have under applicable law.

Can I reschedule my interview?

You may reschedule your interview up to three times. Rescheduling is free when completed through the official calendar more than 24 hours before your appointment. Changes made within 24 hours, including rescheduling after a missed appointment, require a $10 late-rescheduling fee. All sales are final and nonrefundable. Every change, free or paid, counts toward the three-reschedule maximum, and all changes must be made through the official calendar. Email, telephone, text, voicemail and social-media messages do not constitute rescheduling. After three reschedules, the purchase expires if you do not attend, and continuing requires a new purchase at the price then in effect.

What happens if I don’t complete my interview within one year?

You have one year from your purchase date to schedule and complete your guided interview. If you do not complete the interview within that one-year period, your purchase expires. Continuing after the expiration date requires a new purchase at the price then in effect.

Question 32

How does the $10 Friend Code referral program work?

Accepted Answer

After your approved Friend Circle Introduction Video and public profile are published, your Friend Code also becomes your referral code. You can earn $10 when someone uses your code, completes the qualifying paid video process, approves their video and profile, and is published. Eligible referral payments are processed monthly. Referral requirements, payout information and the required disclosure are explained in full on the What's Included page.
